Content Creation – Team Participation

Getting past content creation challenges

Hi everybody! Today I want to talk to you again about content creation which is one of the big challenges for businesses today. Another tip that I want to give you today is having your team participate. In a simple way, we do this here at PC 911. Where everybody throughout the day is either posting up on one type of social media, content or share something related to the business etc. And it’s pretty easy to do.

Once you get started with it you’ll find that it’s basically the easiest thing. Before you get started you’re like “well what am I gonna talk about?” You know if you’re a plumber, this is super boring. If you’re in air-conditioning, initially you would say I don’t know what I’m gonna post. Just post what you’re doing. Start with something and then from there you’ll see that you’ll start getting creative. So, let’s use an auto mechanic that is trying to using these plumbers and these air conditioning people. So, if you’re an auto mechanic I mean you’re working every day. Throughout your day – once you start your day and you’re thinking about what am I gonna share? What am I gonna post? Once you have that in your mind you’re gonna find that as your day goes, things are gonna pop up.

So, you’re working on a transmission and I don’t know you take this transmission out and it’s got no transmission fluid. You know there’s your post for the day, it’s not an instructional video. It’s what’s going on at ABC mechanics. Everybody here today we’re working on this Dodge Caravan. And they were having a little problem with their transmission slipping and check this out. There’s no transmission fluid in this vehicle. So, guys, you got to check your transmission fluid at least X amount of time.

I don’t know what the actual recommendation would be. But it might be once a month check transmission fluid. Transmission repairs cost X. You know I don’t know a thousand dollars. So, by just checking it once a month, once every other month and making sure that it’s in good shape. You could save your transmission means something simple like that, that would be basically like a tip informational.

Another one you know is related to the same thing – could be just something like funny that you ran into. Maybe you’re working on a vehicle. And you know it’s got some weird colors or something like that and you’re like hey check out this car with orange and green seats or something. It could be something like that it doesn’t have to be something specific that you’re fixing it’s just a share.

And then the third one could be just something industry, you know wide. So, you know a recall for example you know something comes up, you know one of the manufacturers comes up with some type of recall. And you’re just on social media and you would just share that hey! You know Dodge has this brake recall, you know heads up everybody XYZ.

So those are three different areas for posting content and sharing content. You just gotta get them in your mind, make yourself a goal, a task.  You know once a day or whatever you decide is your goal maybe you do it you know once every other day. I would recommend, once a day that way you have it in your mind and every day you’re gonna think of what am I posting? What am I posting? What am I posting? After about two to three weeks you’re not gonna think about it anymore it’s gonna be automatic. You’re gonna be working on something and say BAM, here’s my content here’s my post for the day.
